Seymour Elementary was built in 1963 on 20 acres in the southwest quadrant of the district. A four classroom addition was completed in 1992 and the footage now totals 48,416 sq. ft. The country setting also boasts a seven-field soccer complex and pavilion. Seymour is now also home to the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) for Flushing.
